Gabriel Massan & Collaborators: Third World: The Bottom Dimension

Join us a captivating journey into the fantastical and thought-provoking worlds crafted by a new generation of Brazilian artists on August 31st in Pinacoteca. ‘Third World: The Bottom Dimension’ is a multi-dimensional project by Gabriel Massan and collaborators, featuring a video game that explores the Black Brazilian experience within the context of colonial impacts, integrated with web3 tokens on the Tezos blockchain. Conceptualized as a consciousness-raising tool, this project navigates the intersection of physical and digital realities, revealing the systemic inequalities faced by Black Brazilians.

Collaboration is done with guest artists: Brazilian Castiel Vitorino, Brand new Edgar, Profane Ventura e LYZZA. The work explores the black Brazilian experience, and the intercession with the impacts of colonialism. Through the lens of decoloniality, queer and decentralization (technological, social, economic and ideological), the project challenges us to rethink the ways in which we understand and orient ourselves in the world.

Gabriel employs worldbuilding concepts in his art, creating intricate and immersive environments that transport viewers to new dimensions of understanding and empathy. This approach aligns perfectly with our vision for Genesis, our art and science platform launching in Brazil in 2025. Together with Gabriel, we aspire to build new worlds, forging a future where art, technology, and social consciousness converge. We invite you to join us in supporting Gabriel and his groundbreaking work, as we lay the foundation for future initiatives that will continue to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.
